Creating unforgettable experiences

The vision was simple: a place where visitors can relax, connect with nature, and create memories that last a lifetime.

The story of the project’s visionary

COVID sparked many new ideas – including the birth of Posest Kunigunda. During the restrictions, I found escape in nature and discovered the joy of cycling. On one ride, I stumbled upon an abandoned estate on Kunigunda Hill. Its location and potential captivated me instantly.

Driven by a desire to create a tourist destination unlike anything around Celje, I took action. I cleared the grounds, built a panoramic terrace and set up a vineyard amphitheatre with seating and standing areas. Then came the restoration of two rundown buildings, guided by sustainability and thoughtful resource use. Timber from the old roof and hayracks was transformed into furniture and decorations, giving the estate its unique, authentic character.

After more than a year of dedication, Posest Kunigunda came to life – a place where relaxation, nature, and experiences meet. With views of the Celje Basin, the nearby St. Kunigunda church, and Slovenia’s Camino de Santiago, the estate is perfect for retreats, celebrations, business events, cultural gatherings, or simply an active day outdoors.

Circular economy at every level.

At our company—and especially at the Posest Kunigunda site—the circular economy is visible at every level. Every item that proves necessary as a complement to our offer, or simply as an interesting interior accent, is viewed through the lens of sustainability. We develop such items in line with European and global green-economy policies and with architectural and interior-design trends that renew appreciation for the beauty of rustic wood and naturally aged wooden surfaces.

With the Posest Kunigunda project, we have shown what can be created from reclaimed wood and other materials—making both the interior and exterior attractive and high-quality, while still maintaining a sense of modern homeliness.

The company has also successfully completed Phase A of the public call for the strategic sustainable and circular transformation of operations for 2022–2025, organized by the SPIRIT public agency. This entails adopting business decisions that significantly contribute to implementing the company’s sustainable and circular strategies and transitioning to circular, low-carbon operations.s strateške trajnostne in krožne transformacije poslovanja v letih 2022-2025, ki ga je organizirala Javna agencija SPIRIT.
